Where Erosion Meets Elegance
Moët & Chandon celebrates the passage of time.
Daniel Arsham transforms it.
One preserves time in bubbles; the other carves it into stone.
Their collaboration does not result in a simple designer bottle—it gives shape to a collectible object, a conversation between two visions of the future: art and champagne.
Two Creations, Two Intentions
This edition presents two separate yet complementary works, both signed by Daniel Arsham:
- A numbered sculpture, reimagining the iconic Moët bottle as a future fossil—eroded, timeless, and contemplative.
- A specially designed case, housing a Magnum (1.5L) of a completely new cuvée:
Moët & Chandon Collection Impériale – Création No. 1
A New Cuvée: When the Maison Speaks in a New Voice
There are moments when a Maison decides to express something deeper—beyond vintage, beyond category, beyond tradition.
Collection Impériale – Création No. 1 is born from that impulse.
It’s not a variation of Impérial.
Nor a celebration of a single harvest.
Instead, it is a blend of exceptional reserve wines, drawn from over 15 years of top vintages, carefully selected and orchestrated by Chef de Cave Benoît Gouez. The goal: to craft a champagne of precision, texture, and depth—more grand vin than festive toast.
This cuvée demands more—more from the terroirs chosen, more from the reserve selection, more from time itself.
It is, in essence, a gastronomic interpretation of champagne, one that speaks a more contemplative, long-view language. Still unmistakably Moët, but viewed through the lens of aging, restraint, and complexity.
One Work Inside Another
The result is dual. Arsham’s sculpture reminds us that all material things are destined to change, decay, or be forgotten.
And yet, the cuvée it holds proves that some things—when crafted with intention—can outlast time instead of yield to it.
This tension between erosion and endurance is where the true beauty of this edition resides.
Some creations are made to celebrate the present.Others are made to endure. This edition is both.
